The Department is a unit of the Institute for Land Reclamation Grassland Farming (IMUZ) near Warsaw, and owns its field branch Experimental Station "Biebrza" in the Biebrza valley (19-200 Grajewo, phone/fax (+ 48 86) 273 40 51).

Our activity focuses on management conservation and protection of biodiversity in rural areas, especialy wetlands. Besides of scientific activity we also prepare assessment studies, and offer access to the biggest in Poland database of Polish Wetlands.
