IMUZ's offer

The IMUZ has strong ties to economic and social environment of Poland. The Institute is the most important advisor to the state and central government institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Environment, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEPWM), the Agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury (APAST), the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture (ARMA). There are also very close ties between the local and provincial governments, the regional branches of the NFEPWM, APAST, ARMA, and the five regional IMUZ research centres and the two IMUZ experimental research farms (see "General information"). The IMUZ field research units perform the tasks of:
  1. assessment of current state, functioning and development of rural area natural environment, in particular, water and soil resources, and biodiversity;
  2. sustainable and multifunctional development of strategy and programs for natural environment in rural areas;
  3. development of strategy and programs for harmonization of natural environment growth and socio-economic expansion in rural areas;
  4. forecasts, expert analyses, opinions and assessments for public transportation agencies;
  5. analyses and assessments of the current state of science and technology used for natural environment resources protection, shaping and utilization in rural areas.
